My Paid Survey Earnings This Week

Wednesday April 9, 2008 by Danelle Ice
Periodically, I go through all the paid survey companies that I belong to and check my accounts to see how much money or how many points I’ve accumulated. Most companies have a threshold for you to cash out, such as not being able to request a check until they owe you $25. They all have their own $ requirements, and most are reasonable. Some companies just send you a check without even asking!

Well, Monday night I decided I’d check a few companies in case I could cash any in. First, I checked SurveySpot. They’re in my Homemaker Barbi Top 5 because they send frequent surveys, their surveys are quick, they tell you exactly how much each survey will pay you in DOLLARS (not points), and they payout FAST. I love SurveySpot! I just cashed out and got a $10 check from them a few weeks ago, so I wasn’t expecting much this time. To my surprise, my account was at $41.00 already! (The best survey I got to do last time was watch an unaired TV show and tell them what I thought should be changed - for $20!)

After SurveySpot, I checked in with 2 of my other companies. The first one I requested a PayPal payout of $25.25, the second $29.00! I yelled the amounts over my shoulder to my husband at his desk. He was amazed! I’ll be reporting on these checks in my “Goodies in the Mail” column when they arrive!

So my total from only 3 companies (there are more I haven’t cashed in yet) for 2 months is $95.25!

Let me add, as an aside, that when my husband and I decided to do the paid survey experiment, we did a lot of research. We bought access to a database with HUNDREDS of companies. If I remember correctly, we spent $30, and figured if we made the money back from the surveys, it would be worth it. And if not, we’d only be out $30. It didn’t take long for the survey money to pay for our purchase, and it just keeps coming in! I do surveys mostly when I feed the baby – I hold the bottle with one hand and the mouse with the other! It takes no extra time and helps bring in a little supplemental income for my family.
