I learned my lesson recently after I stopped keeping my laundry supplies in the shared laundry room (but that is a story for another time!). I created a laundry caddy with my soap in it. My whole detergent jug wouldn’t fit inside, so I used an old plastic bottle to hold detergent. But then I wondered, “What size measuring cup should I put in the caddy to measure the soap?” A little comparison between the cap, the directions on the package, and my measuring cup revealed that I had been using WAY too much detergent in each load!
